About Me

Hi I'm Jackey!

I was born and raised in Hartford, Wisconsin, was a 2012 graduate of Hartford Union High School, and am currently attending UW Stevens Point for my BFA in Musical Theatre. I am a full time transfer student and I intend to graduate in May of 2018. I not only enjoy theatre, but I also spend my time focusing on photography and art, I am a huge animal lover, and have an adorable little Jack Russell Terrier/Chihuahua mix named Bonita. This summer I was chosen to study with the Prague Shakespeare Company in Prague, Czech Republic. This is an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so honored to be selected. On top of that, I am also completing my study abroad in London with the Stevens Point Theatre and Dance Department the month prior.

I decided to start this blog for a few reasons. First, I want to allow my family and friends the chance to keep up with my summer in Europe. A lot of people have donated to my trip and I want to let everyone see what their money is going toward! Second, I'm taking an Independent Study through my university so the summer Shakespeare intensive is counted as a credit. This allows me to be considered a part time student for the summer semester and fills my 6 required credits that are needed for FAFSA to apply. Keeping a blog/journal is part of my required classwork for this trip. And third, I just thought it would be fun!
